2023 End of Year Round Up
Since May 1st there have been 35 weeks, 245 days.
Here’s what we’ve done so far:
From the Operations Committee
Main Services:
We delivered over 2200 meals to over 60 different people
Temporary Housing (separately) for 8 people, including their 6 dogs
Housing: 10 people and their pets are now permanently housed!
Supplies for over 60 individuals and families including tents, clothes, blankets, food, shoes, hygiene, and other necessary supplies
Doctor Visits or in the field treatment for 12 people and Vet Visits for 3 pets
Other Services:
Assistance applying for and obtaining ID, social security cards, moving, accessing food banks, legal assistance, showers, and transportation
From the Board
Incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation
Established our 3 levels of Assistance for our clients
Development of low-cost affordable housing

Launched our website! CANUP.org and email info@canup.org
Issued 6 newsletters and several “call to action” emails
Issued our Vision, Mission, and Core Values
Held 7 monthly group meetings, with guest speakers, exercises, and training
Have a mailing list of over 150 interested individuals
Named Team Lead for Greene County by the Appalachian Regional Coalition on Homelessness (ARCH) and will be responsible for the 2024 Point in Time (PIT) count of the unhoused
